KUCHING, Nov 8 — Twelve police reports have been lodged as of 9pm today against the Facebook page regarding its recent posting ‘Sarawak Keluar Malaysia 2021’ involving the Sarawak Chief Minister.
Sarawak CID chief Datuk Dev Kumar M.M. Sree Shunmugam said seven police reports were lodged in Kuching, three in Miri and one each in Padawan and Serian.
He said police were investigating the case under Section 4 (1) of the Sedition Act and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.
“We are currently tracing the administrator/s of the Facebook page,” he said in a statement here.
Yesterday the Sarawak Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) denied a report on social media accusing Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem of blaming the federal authorities and Umno for the so-called ills affecting the country.
The CMO said the posting was reported to have originated from the Facebook account ‘Sarawak Keluar Malaysia 2021’. — Bernama
