PUTRAJAYA, March 27 — Police detained three individuals including a businessman to help in investigation over the shooting of a bodyguard by two men near Chaterfield town, KLIA Commercial Centre in Sepang, Friday.

According to a police spokesman, the trio, aged in their 30s and 40s, were detained at three houses in Skudai, Johor by a special team at 2am, yesterday.

However, he said the special team which was set up to investigate the case, did not seize anything during the raids.

“All are remanded for six days from today to help in investigation under Section 3 of the Firearms Act 1968,” he said when contacted.

Meanwhile, Sepang District Police chief, ACP Abdul Aziz Yusoff, when contacted, confirmed the arrest.

In the incident at 8.45 pm, the personal bodyguard who was known as Hazrat was driving a Mercedez Benz car when it was obstructed and two men shot at it several times.

The victim was found with a serious injury to his shoulder after being shot at from the left windscreen of the front passenger seat and front of the car.
