KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 26 ― The recall of chocolate products, namely Mars, Snickers, Milky Way and Celebration bars produced by Mars Chocolate at its factory in the Netherlands does not involve those on sale in Malaysia.
Director-General of Health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Mars Malaysia confirmed that the products sold in Malaysia were imported from China, Australia and the United States.
“The Ministry of Health has taken note of the reports in local and foreign media dated February 24 and 25 about Mars Chocolate recalling its products manufactured in the Netherlands.
“Its a precautionary measure following the discovery of plastic sheet in a Snickers bar by a buyer in Germany on January 8.
“However, only products manufactured between December 5, 2015 and January 18 this year, and labeled 'Mars Netherlands' are involved,” he said in a statement here, tonight.
