KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 ― The Education Ministry today said it will take action on the security firm that hired a guard suspected of raping and murdering a student of a secondary school in Penang recently.

Its minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said they will be checking on the firm that hired the guard.

“We will be looking into the company that hired the guard. Then, we will take action against them,” he said at a news conference here.

It was reported that a 17-year-old Penang student was found with her throat slit on Sunday at her house. The police later revealed that she was raped before she was murdered.
