PARIS, Nov 27 — French inventor Christian Poincheval, who in 2006 perfumed the putrid odor of flatulence with pills that give it a rose aroma, has added chocolate to his fart-scent menu just in time for the holiday season.
Poincheval, whose products are sold under the name Lutin Malin, says he came up with the idea over a dinner with friends.
“Our farts were so smelly after the copious meal, we nearly suffocated,” he says. “The people at the table next to us were not happy. Something had to be done.”
Poincheval claims his pills not only create sweet-smelling farts, they reduce intestinal gas and bloating. Vegetable carbon, fennel seed and red algae extracts are among the ingredients but Poincheval won’t say what creates the chocolate scent.
Available in rose, violet and now chocolate, the pills can be purchased in sachets for €9.99 (RM41.70) or in packs of four sachets in which a fifth comes free for €27.97.
It’s also possible to perfume the farts of your dog or cat, for Poincheval has also invented a powder to be added to their food. — AFP-Relaxnews
