NEW YORK CITY, May 17 — Attention New York: the wizard of puff pastry and inventor of the Cronut will be giving out free Cronut holes stuffed with Nutella on Monday to “#spreadthehappy.”

To mark the 50th anniversary of Nutella, the brand has tapped pastry chef Dominique Ansel — arguably the hottest pastry chef in the world right now — to help host a celebration that will involve handing out 2,000 Cronut balls stuffed with the chocolate hazelnut spread, on Pedestrian Plaza.

Like his eponymously named bakery in New York which draws pre-dawn line-ups for the croissant-donut hybrid that go for US$5 (RM16.20) apiece, expect mile-long queues for the limited supply of the holes.

The event will run between 10am and 2pm, on Monday, May 19. — AFP Relaxnews
