LOS ANGELES, July 13 — After teaching girls how to master beach-tousled, California waves, winged eyeliner and the at-home manicure, celebutante Lauren Conrad will be teaching her legions of fans how to host dinner parties and cook crowd-pleasing recipes in a new cookbook.

Though details are sparse, it seems the book, “Lauren Conrad Celebrate,” will be published by HarperCollins and published April 5, 2016.

Conrad, best known for her appearances on the US reality series “The Hills” and “Laguna Beach,” parlayed her fame into a highly successful lifestyle brand that includes the publication of eight books — six fictionalised novels based on her life as a reality TV star, and two style guides — as well as a dominant presence on social media.

On Instagram, Conrad boasts 4.3 million followers and on Pinterest she has amassed more than 972,600 followers.

Judging by recipes featured in the “dine” section of her website, the cookbook could be a mix of healthy, silhouette-conscious dishes as well as more decadent recipes for entertaining.

Current recipes on the site include jalapeno poppers and chimichurri skirt steak, cold buckwheat soba noodle salad, spicy quinoa and cinnamon sugar churro cake.

Meanwhile, Conrad’s BFF Lo Bosworth has also spun off her reality TV stardom into an albeit lesser known beauty and lifestyle brand called “The LoDown” that includes beauty, fashion and food guides.

For more street cred, however, Bosworth enrolled in a farm-to-table cooking programme at the International Culinary Center in New York in 2013 as part of a bigger plan to direct the food content of The Revelry House, a party-planning site.

Other former reality TV stars to get their own cookbooks include Kris Jenner, the Kardashian family matriarch and New York ‘Real Housewife’ Teresa Guidice. — AFP-Relaxnews
