LONDON, Sept 13 ― Amusement Today announced the winners of its annual Golden Ticket Awards over the weekend, with Germany's Europa Park winning Best Amusement Park.
The awards, which celebrate the best in the amusement industry around the world, are decided by an international poll conducted by Amusement Today. Awards are given in 23 categories, from Best Kids' Area to Best Steel Coaster to Best Food.
Among the 2016 winners were SeaWorld Orlando for Best Marine Life Park, Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort in Texas for Best Water Park and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for Best Seaside Life Park. Dollywood scooped Friendliest Park as well as the prize for Best New Amusement Park Attraction for its Lightning Rod and Best Christmas Event for Smoky Mountain Christmas.
