SAN FRANCISCO, July 17 — Fitness monitoring device makers Misfit have introduced Misfit Link, an app that allows users to use any Flash activity tracker to take a selfie using a phone camera app or Snapchat.

It also can control music on Spotify and Pandora, or glide through slides in a presentation. The iOS version is available to download now, with the Android app to be released next month.

Misfit also unveils Flash Link, an activity tracker and smart button that is compatible with the Misfit Link app.

The Flash Link will be sold at a suggested retail price of US$19.99 (RM76).

The company’s older models are also getting a price cut. Shine and Flash fitness and sleep trackers will now be available for US$69.99 and US$29.99 respectively.

Misfit devices can be clipped onto a user’s wrist, waist or shoe to measure activity or sleep, and sync with the Misfit app on a smartphone. — AFP-Relaxnews
