ALOR STAR, Sept 18 — The Football Association of Kedah (KFA) will consider appropriate incentives for the Kedah squad which succeeded in qualifying for Malaysia Cup semi-finals.

Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah, who is also KFA president, said the players put up an excellent performance when they crushed Negri Sembilan 5-0 in the second-leg quarter-finals at Darul Aman Stadium last night.

“We will be considering incentives as KFA had earlier pledged to reward the players but what is important now is for the players to complete the battle on the pitch.

“I am confident with the experience and fighting spirit among the players, we can bring back the Malaysia Cup to Kedah,” he told reporters here today.

Ahmad Bashah told Kedah supporters to continue giving their full support to boost the spirit of the players for their next crucial challenge.

Kedah will be facing Police in the semi-final. The first leg is on September 30. — Bernama
