LONDON, May 4 — An upcoming documentary about the late British fashion designer Alexander McQueen now has its first trailer.
Born in East London, Alexander McQueen became famous for his one-man fashion brand, celebrated as a punk rebel in the fashion industry and subverting traditional Paris haute couture. The designer died by suicide in 2010 at age 40.
McQueen promises to offer an intimate look into the designer’s personal and professional world, “both tortured and inspired.” It will portray his life from his debut collection through to his death, featuring never-before-seen home movies, audio tapes and “behind-the-scenes” footage along with interviews from close family, friends and collaborators.
In the trailer, the young designer discusses his own work while interviewees weigh in on his maverick nature and daring designs. — AFP-Relaxnews
