LOS ANGELES, Jan 16 — Conan O’Brien is taking a jibe at Donald Trump yet again and this time it’s over the president’s recent “shithole” comment.
The late-night host revealed that he would visiting Haiti after Trump reportedly complained about immigrants coming to America from “shithole countries” as he discussed immigration protections for certain nations.
O’Brien took to Twitter to announce that he would be heading to Haiti for his next “Conan Without Borders” episode “to explore and make some new friends”.
“Still reeling from @realDonaldTrump’s very negative Yelp review of Haiti, which means I’ll love it. Headed to Haiti later this week to explore and make some new friends. Stay tuned for my report.”
O’Brien frequently takes his show on the road via “Conan Without Borders” and has visited Cuba, Armenia, South Korea, Berlin, Qatar and Israel.
Last year, O’Brien took his show to Mexico so he could see the country before Trump built his wall and it featured plenty of jokes at the president’s expense. So it won’t come as a surprise that this Haiti trip will also feature plenty of jabs at Trump and his “shithole” comment.
