LOS ANGELES, Oct 13 — Kids’ cartoon series Skylanders Academy is on its way to Netflix on October 28 and a trailer for the show introduces main characters Spyro, Stealth Elf and Eruptor as well as the world they’re saving from bling-hording baddie Kaos.
Adapted from a bestselling video game and toy figurine series, Skylanders Academy is proposed as a standalone storyline.
Justin Long from the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies voices Spyro, Ashley Tisdale (Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch) plays Stealth Elf, and Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) is Eruptor; opposite is Richard Steven Horvitz (The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and the Skylanders games) as Kaos.
Skylanders Academy is the debut from Activision Blizzard Studios, whose video game publishing parent is well known for the toy-game hybrid Skylanders series as well as Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Destiny, Hearthstone, Overwatch and others. — AFP-Relaxnews
