LOS ANGELES, June 14 — Christina Grimmie’s The Voice mentor Adam Levine has offered to cover the funeral expenses of the late singer.

Rolling Stone reported Grimmie’s brother Marcus as saying on his Facebook page today that Levine offered to pay for the funeral of his sister whom the Maroon 5 frontman had coached on the sixth season of The Voice in 2014.

“I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away.”

According to E! News, Grimmie’s manager Brian Teefey has also created a GoFundMe campaign to assist the late singer’s family.

The 22-year-old Grimmie, who placed third on The Voice under the mentorship of Lavine, was shot and killed on Saturday while signing autographs during a fan meet-and-greet following a show in Orlando, Florida.
