The Harry Potter spin-off is based on the book by J.K. Rowling, who also wrote the screenplay, and will see David Yates back in the director’s chair after being at the helm of four of the eight Harry Potter movies.

In the new trailer we find out a little more about Newt Scamander, who although expelled from Hogwarts, was apparently still a favourite of Albus Dumbledore. And with fantastical scenes taking place in the muggle world of 1920s New York, the trailer also promises that the film will hold the same magic that captivated Harry Potter fans previously.

The movie will be released in theatres November 18. — AFP-Relaxnews
