LOS ANGELES, Oct 8 — Australian rock band AC/DC has released its first new song in six years and revealed a tracklist and artwork for upcoming album “Rock or Bust.”
“Play Ball” is available as an instant download for those who pre-order the album, which is due November 28 in Australia and December 2 internationally.
“Rock or Bust” features 11 new tracks and was recorded last spring at Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC. The band worked with producer Brendan O’Brien and mixer Mike Fraser on the LP, the band’s first featuring new material since 2008’s “Black Ice.”
The group also revealed the album’s “three-dimensional lenticular cover,” which gives the illusion of exploding artwork as the packaging is moved. View it at www.acdc.com/us/news/rock-or-bust-0.
The full tracklist is as follows:
1. Rock or Bust
2. Play Ball
3. Rock The Blues Away
4. Miss Adventure
5. Dogs of War
6. Got Some Rock & Roll Thunder
7. Hard Times
8. Baptism By Fire
9. Rock the House
10. Sweet Candy
11. Emission Control
In April, AC/DC revealed that guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young would be taking a break due to ill health. In September it was revealed that Young, whose brother, Angus Young, is also a founding member, had retired from the band.
The group is expected to announce a world tour in support of the new album, with Malcolm and Angus Young’s nephew Stevie Young performing as Malcolm’s replacement. — AFP-Relaxnews
