LOS ANGELES, July 3 — On the 3rd of July, movie icon Tom Cruise celebrates his birthday!
One of the biggest stars of his generation, Tom burst onto the scene in 1983 with the coming of age comedy drama ‘Risky Business’.
By the end of the 80s Cruise had become a megastar thanks to performances in the smash hit movies ‘Top Gun’, ‘The Color Of Money’, ‘Cocktail’ and ‘Rain Man’.
A high profile marriage to Nicole Kidman saw the two become the Hollywood couple of their time. They also appeared in a string of memorable movies together, such as ‘Days Of Thunder’ and ‘Eyes Wide Shut’.
His later marriage to the actress Katie Holmes produced a daughter Suri, but the couple separated and divorced in 2012.
Incredibly Cruise has never won an Oscar but has scooped three Golden Globes for performances in ‘Born On The Fourth Of July’, ‘Jerry Maguire’ and ‘Magnolia’.
