KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 — Bursa Malaysia was mixed at mid-afternoon today, dealers said.
At 3pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 2.19 points to 1,631.92 from yesterday’s close of 1,629.73, after opening 3.42 points higher at 1,633.15.
However, on the broader market, losers led gainers by 403 to 186 with 350 counters unchanged, 759 untraded and 23 others suspended.
Turnover stood at 602.05 million shares worth RM603.77 million.
Of the heavyweights, TNB gained two sen at RM14.02 and Sime Darby rose four sen to RM8.15.
Maybank, Public Bank and IHH Healthcare were flat at RM7.88, RM19.62 and RM6.39, respectively.
Among actives, Green Packet was up half-a-sen to 27.5 sen and MyEG rose five sen to RM2.28.
Accsoft, YTL Corp and JAG were unchanged at 31 sen, RM1.54 and 11 sen respectively.
Hibiscus Petroleum fell a sen to 29.5 sen and APFT eased 1.5 sen to 3.5 sen.
The FBM Emas Index improved 0.18 of-a-point to 11,386.16, FBM Emas Shariah Index rose 4.05 points to 11,925.98 and the FBMT100 Index added 3.85 points to 11,126.35.
The FBM Ace slipped 35.26 points to 4,714.38 and the FBM 70 was 35.84 points lower at 12,980.4.
Sector-wise, the Finance Index declined 10.62 points to 14,282.77 and the Plantation Index fell 16.58 points to 7,693.75.
The Industrial Index gained 3.39 points to 3,086.68. — Bernama
