IPOH, Nov 24 — More than 120 entrepreneurs from China will take part in the Fujian Trade Expo and the 12th Malaysia International Branding Showcase at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur from December 17 to 20.
Organised by the Malaysia Promas International Business Society (Promas) and ES Event Management Sdn Bhd, it is supported by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.
Promas President Datuk Chong Chong Tik the expo would have 150 booths displaying products, among others, clothing, home appliances, electrical goods, and food and beverages from Fujian and Zhejiang, China.
“We expect a bigger turnout of 10,000 visitors this year from 8,000 last year.
“Local entrepreneurs, including Bumiputeras, should capitalise on the expo to get more information on the products and expand their business network in China.
“They need not have to go to China to look for business opportunities and partners as the expo will be a good conduit for business matching for them,” he told a news conference here today.
Chong said besides showcasing products from China, the expo would help strengthen business ties between Malaysia and China.
Free shuttle buses will be provided from designated locations to the PWTC for those who are keen to visit the expo.
