PUTRAJAYA, Jan 30 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has hailed efforts by Malaysia’s business and commerce chambers to work together.

Speaking during a dinner by “The Dewan” at Seri Perdana last night, Najib said the effort by the Malay Chamber of Commerce (DPMM) and the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCIM) to work together signalled a strong, cohesive force that could benefit the economy.

“As one of the world’s 25 exporting nations, we should be relentless in seeking new markets, diversifying our products, and providing new job opportunities for our young talents.

“We must embrace new technologies, new ways of thinking and innovation. On behalf of the government I assure you we will do our part to innovate in the public sector so that it can complement the private sector,” he said.
