PUTRAJAYA, Jan 18 ― The Minister of Finance Incorporated (MoF Inc) has announced the appointment of Masnizam Hisham as the new President/Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Prasarana Malaysia Bhd (Prasarana).
The Finance Ministry in a statement today said the three-year appointment is with immediate effect.
Masnizam, the CEO of Prasarana Integrated Management and Engineering Services Sdn Bhd (PRIME), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Prasarana, replaces Datuk Seri Azmi Abdul Aziz whose tenure of service ended last December.
As Prime CEO, she was responsible for ensuring the success of the Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro-Southern Line (MMMSL) project in Saudi Arabia, the Jakarta MRT workers training and development of Prasarana’s infrastructure, including the procurement of trains, buses and construction of depots.
Her appointment is also timely in the face of Prasarana’s increasing role of operating the LRT, Monorail, MRT, Rapid Bus, the Penang Ferry as well as Rapid Transit System (RTS) involving the government’s of Malaysia and Singapopre.
“We are confident that Masnizam will work to ensure that the efficiency and effectiveness of the management as well as Prasarana’s operations continue to be enhanced,” the Treasury said.
Masnizam has served Prasarana for 12 years from 2005 as Head of the Legal Section and RapidKL Company Secretary, among other positions held.
MoF Inc also recorded its appreciation to Azmi for his sterling service to Prasarana. ― Bernama
