KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — Police have arrested two people suspected of terror links in Sandakan, Sabah at noon today, New Straits Times reported.

According to the news report, Bukit Aman’s Counter-Terrorism Division assistant director Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay confirmed the arrest and said an official statement would be issued soon.

In the video which appeared to have been taken by a passing car passenger, a team of armed men with the words “Police” emblazoned in white on their dark tops could be seen forcing some people to the ground while others guarded the area.

The azan could be heard in the background.
