KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — Sarawak police have arrested a teacher on suspicion of sodomising a former teenage student at least 50 times in the past two years.
Mukah OCPD Deputy Supt Jimmy Panyau said the 42-year-old teacher at a school in Sarawak’s Mukah town was detained yesterday for allegedly performing anal sex repeatedly on the 14-year-old victim from August 2015 until this May.
Jimmy said the boy from the town of Kapit was a boarding student and had been frequently invited by the teacher to spend the night at a budget hotel in Sibu since he entered the school.
“He had remained silent as he feared the teacher,” the police officer was quoted saying by local daily The Star.
According to Jimmy, the boy alleged that the teacher engaged in anal sex with him 20 times in the teachers’ quarters and in a Kapit hotel during the August-December period in 2015, and around 30 more times in a house in Kemuyang.
The teenage victim’s ordeal was only brought to light when he could no longer endure it after being sodomised five times during the February-May period this year and after he informed another teacher.
The teacher will be investigated under the Penal Code for the offence of unnatural sex.
The student was brought to a hospital for medical observation, the paper said.
