KUALA LUMPUR, June 4 — In a show of sympathy, Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) has offered a full refund to customers heading to London this weekend following the terror strike in the UK capital last night.

In a statement, the national carrier said  customers who wish to cancel their London flight on June 3 to 5 can contact its ticketing offices or call centre for a full refund.

“Customers who wish to reschedule their London flights from 3, 4 or 5 June can do so with no penalty or extra payments,” it added.

Those interested can call the MAB centre at tel: 1 300 88 3000 (within Malaysia) and +603 7863 3000 (outside of Malaysia).

At least six people have died and close to 50 others have been reported wounded following attacks by three men on London Bridge yesterday at about 10pm local time.

The attackers were said to have driven a van that ploughed through pedestrians on the bridge and then rampaged through the nearby Borough Market transport hub packed with restaurants and pubs, stabbing passersby at random before being shot dead by the police.

The UK authorities are treating it as a potential terrorism strike with the attack happening just days ahead of its national parliamentary elections.
