TAWAU, Feb 13 — The uniquely diversified cultures in Malaysia, especially in the state of Sabah, must be preserved for the sake of national sovereignty and harmony, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said.
As such, Musa said the main celebrations in the country, such as Hari Raya, Deepavali, Chinese New Year, Christmas, Kaamatan Festival and Gawai Festival, should be celebrated by all the people, regardless of their race.
“Coming together and celebrate the festivals with everyone regardless of culture and beliefs will definitely bring peace and prosperity to the country,” he said when addressing over 3,000 guests at the Tawau parliamentary constituency Chinese New Year open house here today.
