KLANG, Feb 10 — An 87-year-old man was found murdered today at his home here in Taman Sentosa, just a day after having a Chinese New Year dinner with six of his children.

Ong Chock Meng, was found dead at 8am near the staircase of the two-storey house with bruises all over the face and head.

South Klang OCPD Assistant Commissioner Azman Abdul Razak said the police also discovered a nine-inch knife and a screwdriver beside the victim.

“A forensic team from the Selangor police headquarters found five fingerprints and two sweat swabbings at the crime scene,” he said.

ACP Azman said both rooms upstairs had been ransacked but the police have yet to determine if there were any valuables stolen.

The victim’s body, he said, had been sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah hospital here for a post mortem.

As for the motive of the murder, he said the police were looking into the matter, noting that his men were investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
