ALOR STAR, Aug 9 — The police are in the midst of tracking down a man in connection with the death of his older brother in Kampung Bukit Lada, Pokok Sena on Friday.
Kota Setar police chief ACP Adzaman Mohd Jan said the 24-year-old disappeared after sending Mohd Yusoff Gizali, 35, who had sustained head injuries, to the hospital.
The injured man later died at the hospital.
Earlier, a man had hurled a metal object at Mohd Yusoff Gizali, injuring him on the head.
In another development, Adzman said the police arrested a 27-year-old man to facilitate investigations into the murder of his close relative at a house in Simpang Kuala yesterday.
Food trader Amnah Omar, 49, was found stabbed to death about 4am at the house in Taman Sentosa. — Bernama
