CANNES, May 25 — Stars attending this year’s film event are embracing two of the oldest feel-good beauty tricks of the trade.

Many championed the statement red lip while US-South African star Charlize Theron and Cannes Jury member Clotilde Hesme flaunted radiant red-carpet ready complexions.

Charlize Theron has Dior to thank for her healthy yet polished skin.

The good news?

Her enviable fresh-faced look is utterly attainable with a little help from two of the luxury label’s ‘holy grail’ products: Diorskin Forever make-up and Diorskin Nude Air luminizing powder.

The powder atop the two-in-one Matte Luminous foundation provided the perfect canvas for Charlize’s smoky eye and natural lip.

Clotilde Hesme’s skin looked as radiant as her 18-carat Chanel diamond earrings. Her secret weapon(s)? Chanel’s Touche de Teint ‘Belle mine 21’ and Belle Mine Ensoleillée powder in Medium Light from the Les Beiges makeup collection.

Nicole Kidman and Elisabeth Moss also provided gleaming examples of that sought-after ‘glowy’ base.

Meanwhile, for French actress turned director Maïwenn, Laetitia Casta, Jessica Chastain and Fan Bing Bing, it was the return of the perfect red pout.

Chanel’s fierce ‘La Fascinante’ and ‘Vivant’ shades from the Rouge Allure Velvet and Ink lines were worn by Tilda Swinton and French actress turned director Maïwenn at Cannes yesterday.

To kick off the Cannes festival, Dior Instagrammed its ultimate pout-perfecting lip routine, consisting of applying Dior Lip Sugar Scrub, followed by Lip Glow before finishing with a slick of Rouge Dior lipstick.
