NEW YORK, Dec 3 — Star hairstylist Frédéric Fekkai is launching a new beauty brand inspired by and celebrating the French area of Provence, reports WWD.
The new launch will be a reboot of a 26-year-old Aix-en-Provence-based company, Cote Bastide, which Fekkai will transform into new brand Bastide.
The reboot will focus on skincare products with high-quality, natural ingredients from local suppliers.
The brand was to start posting information and original content via its official Instagram account on Friday, with the company website launching in France on December 20 and in the US on January 11.
A flagship boutique is also expected to open in Aix-en-Provence in March 2017 with plans also to open in Paris and New York.
So far the collection includes a hand and body section with prices ranging from US$8 to US$45 (about RM35 to RM200), candles priced at US$65 each and three eau de toilette fragrances retailing at US$130 for 100 ml or US$32 for 10 ml.
The original company, Cote Bastide, was founded in 1990 by Nicole Houques and at one time had retail outlets in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Paris, London and the US. — AFP-Relaxnews
