SAN FRANCISCO, June 28 — Nike is now offering another way to work out with its Nike Training Club app, by adding new and free yoga videos throughout the summer.

The “do-anywhere” videos have been created to add yoga into any workout schedule and offer a mix of physical and mental endurance, mobility, and strength.

Designed by Nike Master Trainers and yogis Branden Collinsworth, Traci Copeland, and Leah Kim, the endurance flows will help build stamina, mobility sessions are more restorative to help release tension and recharge you mentally, while strength flows challenge yogis to hold poses for longer to increase muscle strength.

At between just 15 and 45 minutes long, the option of shorter-length videos are designed to make yoga more accessible and easier to make part of a daily, regular fitness regime. The varied length of the videos also means they can be added into other sports such as running, perhaps for a post-workout cool down and to promote more flexibility in the muscles, or choose a longer video as your main workout session that day.

“These new workouts are really powerful because they offer the chance to practise no matter what your goal is or where you are on your yoga journey,” says Kim.

“With the varying workout focus areas, lengths and poses, there is something for everyone — from the beginner yogi looking to improve their practice to those who are more advanced.”

To take advantage of the videos, those who don’t already have the Nike+ Training Club app can first download it for free, and then search for their yoga workout based on the time, style, or level.

Users can also take advantage of custom programming on NTC and integrate yoga into their own personalised plan to link their sessions to strength and conditioning or cardio workouts.

“Now, Nike is not only delivering the best training experience, but we are leading the way in holistic athleticism, once again reinforcing that notion that if you have a body, you’re an athlete and we’re here to help you tap into that,” says Collinsworth.

Four new yoga workouts will be available on NTC June 28, with another 10 rolling out between July and September.
