KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 14 — Actress Fasha Sandha has come under fire from social media users for having horns as part of her costume during an event in her neighbourhood.

Portraying Maleficent, the title character of the movie, her followers were unfazed despite the Aku Bukan Gila actress saying the costume was just for fun.

“This is (our) costume and character for ‘Kejirananku bukan kejirananmu’ (My neighbourhood not your neighbourhood).”

“Just for fun,” the 38-year-old mother of three wrote in the caption.

Her followers came in droves to criticise her set up.

Instagram user @engkuilyannaina commented that what is wrong is wrong.

“We cannot celebrate,” she said.

Fellow Instagram user @extraordinary_800 urged Fasha not to follow western culture.

“Do not normalise it,” they wrote.

Another Instagram user @rtkakamhmt, however, was more forgiving.

“It is not good to celebrate Halloween but they do look cute in the costume,” she wrote.

Kosmo reported that celebrity couple Scha Alyahya and Awal Ashaari were also previously criticised by social media users when they attended a birthday party wearing Halloween themed costumes.
