LOS ANGLES, Oct 26 — Former child star Corey Feldman has announced that he plans to expose paedophilia in Hollywood via a documentary based on his life.

Feldman took to Youtube yesterday to reveal that he has started an Indiegogo “Truth Campaign” to fund the film which will expose the sex abuse he and his peers faced in the entertainment industry.

The Goonies and Stand By Me star had in a 2013 memoir titled Coreyography detailed how he co-star Corey Haim endured sexual abuse as child stars in the 1980s, though he has never revealed the people involved.

“What I am proposing is a plan that I believe can literally change the entertainment system as we know it, and I believe that I can also bring down, potentially, a paedophile ring that I have been aware of since I was a child.

“Right of the bat, I can name six names, one of them who is still very powerful today. A story that links all the way up to a studio and connects paedophilia to one of the major studios,” said Feldman.

Feldman is hoping to raise US$10 million (RM42.3 million) for the documentary which will be made without editing or censorship and without a studio backing.

“I will make the film, I will direct the film, I will produce the film and I will self-distribute it to guarantee it gets a theatrical release with your donations. Additionally, it will help me buy the security and the legal team I need to protect my family.”

At time of writing, his campaign has already raised over US$80,000.
