LOS ANGELES, Sept 7 — First Look Media, one of the financers of last year’s biographical investigative journalism drama film Spotlight, has signed on to back another fact-based film, titled We Do Not Forget.
The plot revolves around what unfolds when the hackivist group Anonymous goes up against a Mexican cartel, with Daniel Radcliffe and Zachary Quinto reportedly set to star.
The story, to be directed by Stranger Than Fiction scribe Zach Helm, is set in motion after Mexican drug cartel Los Zetas kidnap a member of Anonymous which prompts the hacktivist group to uncover 25,000 Mexican government emails detailing the names of Zeta members and threaten to make them public (via Deadline).
Antoine Fuqua — responsible for Training Day, Shooter, The Equalizer, and Southpaw — has also backed the film, and is attached to produce through his company Fuqua Films. — AFP-Relaxnews
