LOS ANGELES, July 25 — Music legend Rick Springfield is to join long-running CW series Supernatural as Lucifer, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The show’s executive producers Bob Singer and Andrew Dabb revealed the news yesterday as part of their San Diego Comic-Con panel.
Springfield will be joining season 12 of the show as the new Satan in the form of “washed-up aging rock star” Vince Vicente in the first few episodes of the season.
The panel also revealed a sneak peek of the season 12 premiere, picking up where the season 11 cliffhanger left off.
Supernatural returns for season 12 on Thursday, October 13, at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. — AFP-Relaxnews
