PARIS, Nov 20 — John Malkovich has created a film that will not be released for another 100 years.

Malkovich has collaborated with French cognac maker Louis XIII, to develop an original screenplay called “100 Years,” that will be released November 18, 2115 when the luxury spirit has finished the century-old ageing process.

Both the film and the cognac will be placed in a custom-made safe created by a Fichet-Bauche, a specialist in secure storage facilities, that features bulletproof glass and a timer that will count down to the opening date. The safe will open automatically in 100 years at the House of Louis XIII in Cognac, France.

Directed by Robert Rodriguez, teasers of the film have been released that imagine three scenarios for earth’s future: one in which nature takes over the planet; one in which technology rules; and the third in which humanoid robots have chased humans away.

A thousand guests from round the world received invitations to give to their descendants to attend the premiere in Cognac, 100 years from now. — AFP-Relaxnews
