LABUAN, Jan 19 — At least 800 job vacancies are being offered by four participating established establishments in conjunction with 1Malaysia Training Scheme (SL1M) programme to be held at the Labuan Financial Park Complex here on Jan 22.
The programme for unemployed graduates organised by SL1M under the Prime Minister's Department's Economic Planning Unit (EPU) is in collaboration with government’s statutory body of Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA).
An EPU spokesman in Putrajaya said the training scheme was a programme to improve the marketability of graduates to secure future jobs in collaboration with the government linked companies (GLCs) and the private sector as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Vacancies available included in the field of operation, administration, technical and marketing among others by Maybank, Telekom Malaysia (TM), Malaysia Airline (MAS) and Aegis, a multinational company from India.
He said unemployed graduates who met the criteria and passed the interview would have the opportunity to be hired as permanent staff. — Bernama
