KUALA LUMPUR, March 7 — The National Coalition for Mental Wellbeing Malaysia (NCMW) will hold the Picnic at the Park event on March 19 to celebrate the International Day of Happiness the next day.
Attendees can expect a variety of fun activities such as Zumba exercise, Qi Gong, Congkak, water games for children, scavenger hunts, and many more at the event.
Attendance is free but early registration is required to be entitled to door gifts and free picnic sets at the event that will be held at Batu Metropolitan Park at Jalan Ipoh here.
“Every year, the NCMW and Rotary District 3300 in conjunction with International Day of Happiness organises an activity in tandem with our focus, which is ‘Time to Reconnect’.
“This year we are asking Malaysians to join us for a picnic at the park with their family to spend around four hours reconnecting with each other,” said Karthi Palanisamy, who is a member of Rotary District 3300 that was a co-organiser.
He added that Ministry of Health (MoH) will be providing free counselling services and promoting the ministry’s own mental health hotline “Talian HEAL” on the same day.
