This comes following yesterday’s incident that saw a policeman slapped across his face and another civilian kicked in the leg allegedly by Farid at the police station.

When the officer on duty questioned Farid about the accident he had come to report, he flashed his mobile phone at the policeman showing a message that read “300 artistes borrowing money from loan sharks due to lack of jobs.”

As the officer questioned Farid over the relevance of the message, he was slapped on his face, before Farid lashed out again and kicked a another person within the station.

He was then immediately apprehended and handcuffed, following the incident that was witnessed by a police corporal and three other people.

Farid’s first breakthrough role was when he was paired with popular actress Erra Fazira in the thriller Tujuh Perhentian in 2004.

Since then he has starred in and directed many movies which were box-office hits such as Anak Halal, Evolusi KL Drift, Kala Bulan Mengambang, V3 Samseng Jalanan and Tombiruo.

Farid has also starred in and directed films Kongsi and PE3, while appearing on the small screen in shows Qanun 99, and Jodoh Itu Milik Kita, and telemovies Sedikit Waktu and Syukur Syawal.

When contacted by Malay Mail yesterday, his wife Diana Danielle who is an A-list actress declined to comment, just saying “Please let us deal with the situation at hand.” in a text message.
