KOTA BARU, June 2 — The police do not suspect foul play in the death of a police Inspector who had sustained a gunshot wound in the forehead yesterday at his office in the Pasir Puteh police headquarters.
Kelantan CID chief, ACP Mohamad Fakri Che Sulaiman said the case was classified as sudden death due to accident involving a gun.
“However, the police will investigate from all aspects on how the incident had occurred,” he said when contacted here tonight.
About 9am yesterday, a policeman found the body of the 29-year-old inspector after the former was instructed to look for the deceased as he had not shown up at the district police headquarters administration meeting to represent the Commercial Crime Investigation Department chief.
The victim, from Selangor who was slumped on a chair in his room, with blood under the chair was pronounced dead by a doctor from the Tengku Anis Hospital in Pasir Puteh about 9.40am.
