KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 — The body of an 11-year-old boy who was believed to have fallen into a monsoon drain in Segambut Dalam yesterday was found in Sungai Klang this morning.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Azizan Ismail said a team of firemen and the victim’s family members found the body of Saufullah Hamin Al Hilal Hamim about 11.20am, following a two-hour search comprising firemen and the police.

He said the remains were sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

“The victim was believed to have been swept away by strong currents and drowned after he fell into the monsoon drain near the Al-Ubudiah Mosque in Segambut Dalam here about 4pm,” he told Bernama when contacted. — Bernama
