KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 23 — A Myanmar vegetable seller man was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here today with the murder of a lorry driver at the Selayang Wholesale Market last month.
Zubair Nurullah, 47, was charged with murdering M. Kamarajan, 33, at the car park of the market at 3.45am last Jan 14.
The charge, under Section 302 of the Penal Code, carries the death sentence upon conviction.
However, no plea was recorded.
Magistrate Erry Shahriman Nor Aripin then set April 22 for mention pending the post-mortem and chemist report on the case.
Deputy public prosecutor Nor Diana Nor Azwa prosecuted, while lawyer Mohamed Shamril Afzan Mohamed Hasim, represented the accused. — Bernama
