KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 — PAS has ordered former vice president Datuk Husam Musa not to make any further statements against the party until its investigation into his allegations against the party is completed.

PAS deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said Husam met with the party’s central committee for two hours today and handed over documents supporting the claims he made against the party in a forum recently.

“He has agreed to not make any statements like that until the case is resolved internally. We also agreed that things involving the internal affairs of the party and the state government can be resolved using the party platform without being public,” he told reporters at a press conference in the party headquarters today.

Tuan Ibrahim added the Islamist party would “analyse” the supporting documents brought forth by Husam today before deciding if he breached party rules.

Earlier, Husam told reporters that he handed over “love note” to the PAS central committee detailing on the queries he raised regarding the Kelantan state government and party management.

Husam had been asked by PAS to explain his claims regarding the party on November 24.

“The meeting went well, I’m satisfied by it. I gave them a love note on how the Kelantan government can survive, the party matters and the unity among members,” he told reporters.

Husam previously claimed in a speech in Kota Baru, Kelantan that PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang’s plan to work with Umno to form a unity government in Selangor last year had failed due to lack of support from PKR assemblymen.

Hadi denied Husam’s claim, clarifying that the unity government was attempted in 2008 at the federal level and not last year as alleged.

Hadi said that a unity government did not mean PAS would join Umno, but would mean a formation of government with all political parties working together. This plan ultimately failed as many did not agree to it, he said.
