SHAH ALAM, Nov 30 — A Pakistani was sentenced to death by hanging, by the High Court here today for trafficking in 590 gram of methamphetamine at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang.

Muhammad Bilal Abdul Jabbar, 28, a handphone repair services company employee was found guilty by Justice Datuk Abdul Halim Aman of committing the offence at the KLIA arrival hall at 10.10am on Aug 11, 2012.

The drugs were concealed in a shoe packed inside Muhammed Bilal’s baggage.

Deputy public prosecutor T. Deepa Nair called seven witnesses while defence counsel Suzana Ismail called one. — Bernama
