KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 — A former policeman was beaten up and stripped naked by a group of villagers during a failed burglary attempt at a house in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, with pictures of him distributed on social media.
Local daily Berita Harian reported yesterday that the 36-year-old suspect suffered broken bones and facial injuries after several villagers set on him when he was allegedly trying to break into a villager’s home in Rantau Panjang last Friday night with the help of two accomplices.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Mazlan Lazim told Berita Harian that the suspect was sacked from the police force four years ago because he was involved in several criminal cases.
He also reportedly said all suspects in the burglary case have been arrested.
