KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 — The worsening haze this morning forced the closure of three airports.

According to Star Online, Malaysia Airports Berhad (MAB) said the affected airports were: Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, Sultan Abdul Halim Airport in Alor Star and Sultan Azlan Shah Airport in Ipoh.

MAB tweeted to report that visibility fell to 350m at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport at 6.35am, forcing the closure of the airport runway until further notice.

According to MAB, visibility was at 500m for both Sultan Abdul Halim Airport and Sultan Azlan Shah Airport at 7.20am and 7.30am respectively.

Passengers were advised to check with the respective airlines for the latest flight schedules.

However, operations were normal at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2  (KLIA2), with visibility of 1000m at 8am.
