PETALING JAYA, Sept 26 — Flights out of Sultan Abdul Aziz airport in Subang have been halted due to poor visibility caused by the haze.
According to a Star Online report, Firefly chief executive officer Ignatius Ong said that the airport was closed to flight operations around 5pm today.
“We would like to advise all our passengers to have their flights rescheduled to tomorrow (Sunday) as we do not when the airport will be reopened,” he was quoted by Star Online as saying.
Ong also said that all of Firefly’s flights operating out of Subang until 10pm had been affected.
DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang had earlier tweeted that his flight to Johor Baru was also affected due to the flight disruption at the Subang Airport.
Meanwhile, Malindo Air CEO Chandran Rama Muthy said they had yet to decide whether to cancel their flights departing the airport, as they were waiting for guidance from authorities.
