SHAH ALAM, Jan 26 — MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai today announced the appointment of ex-Selangor MCA chairman Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai as state MCA deputy chairman.
Liow, who currently heads Selangor MCA, announced the new line-up for the state which includes Lim after chairing the first meeting of Selangor MCA, here, today since the party election in December last year.
Liow said there was no problem for him to appoint Lim, who was in the other camp in the last party election, as his deputy in Selangor because Lim was previously the state chairman, to help strengthen the party in Selangor.
“We are all MCA members, our objective is for the party to be strong and united.
“I’m happy that Selangor MCA is a united team to face the next general election,” he said when asked why he maintained Lim in the new line-up.— Bernama
