KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 — The educational landscape continues to evolve, and the need for a holistic educational pathway is crucial.

In recognising its necessity, Taylor’s College who have been a pioneer in offering the Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) pathway in Malaysia, remains committed in their partnership with the South Australian Certificate of Educations (SACE) board.

SACE, formerly known as South Australian Matriculation (SAM) in Malaysia and the AUSMAT, is an internationally recognised programme that prepares students for higher education and professional success.

The institution celebrated its 40 years of collaboration with South Australia’s SACE Board at their Lakeside Campus in Subang Jaya recently with a panel discussion themed ‘Transforming Education: Shaping the Future of Learning’.

Attendees were given valuable insights and perspectives from industry experts including by SACE Board’s director of education services, Virginia Steele and University of Melbourne’s senior country officer for Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei, Kar-Yee Ong.

The panel also includes insights by Taylor’s College SACE Alumnus currently working at Petronas, Muhammad Naif Muhammad Zain who said that the AUSMAT programme has provided him with a solid foundation for his higher education journeys.

He also shared that considering the track record and calibre of the institution, as well as the availability of robust pastoral care support is important in choosing the right programme.

The Taylor’s College AUSMAT programme plays a key role in empowering students with access to a wide range of global opportunities.

This includes immersive study abroad programmes and the chance to study at prestigious institutions in South Australia and around the world such as at the University of Adelaide, University of South Australia or even the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Taylor’s College also takes pride in the accomplishments of their previous graduates with 51.9 per cent of them achieving a 80 or above score in The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), ranking the institution amongst the top 20 per cent globally.

The event was also graced by the Australian High Commission’s visiting senior government official, Steven Barraclough.

“The AUSMAT pathway is recognised internationally for entry into some of the world’s most prestigious universities and provides Malaysian graduates with the full range of analytical, intercultural and critical thinking skills which will allow them to thrive both personally and professionally.

“The Australian High Commission congratulates Taylor’s College and the SACE Board on the 40th anniversary of their first graduating students and wishes every success for the future generations of Malaysians who will experience the AUSMAT pathway in the years to come,” Barraclough said.
