LOS ANGELES, Sept 16 — Television series Empire is set to debut two signature fragrances at Macy’s and other selected retailers for the upcoming holiday season, with the perfumes created in a bid to allows the show’s fans to “engage with the series off-line” (via WWD).
The scents — dubbed “Lyon’s Truth” (for women) and “Lyon’s Legacy” (for men) — are from Simon James London, a marketing company of fragrance and beauty brands and were created in collaboration with Empire licensing partner Twentieth Century Fox.
The products, which include a 100ml fragrance priced at USUS$59.50 (RM240), and the 8oz fragrance candle for US$45, are both currently available exclusively online at Empirefragrance.com, but will be given wider distribution for Christmas.
The bottle and packaging, which includes an Empire “E” pendant which comes with both fragrance bottles, have all been designed to tie-in with the TV series, which revolves around a family dynasty entwined in a record company, run by formidable music mogul Lucious Lyon. — AFP-Relaxnews
