BANGKOK, Aug 10 — Several perplexed felines were startled and bemused by a white cockatoo who made a very convincing case at being a cat.
The bird approached and started meowing at several cats, who were taken aback by this stranger in their midst that sounded like one of their own.
One cat made a slight movement towards the bird but retreated, perhaps unsure if it was worth taking on a bird that was its own size.
Another cat got slightly closer, but cockatoo retaliated with several hisses that made the cat back off immediately.
The brave bird seemed unafraid of its traditional predator as its large size made it the same size as the cats that were present.
One cat finally had enough and stalked off as the other two continued watching.
